Newbie to the app. Brief background. PAD for about 15 years. (I also had CABG in early 2020.) non-smoker. not diabetic. workout regularly, eat (reasonably) healthy. -- To treat pain (claudication) in my right calf, in the past 2 years I have had 2 angioplasty/stenting procedures on my right femoral artery, both of which occulted within a year. Now my vascular surgeon and a second opinion by another vascular surgeon in my city (Peoria, IL) both recommend femoral artery bypass surgery. After reading some on the website, yesterday I tried walking. I wanted to see if I might be able to avoid the fem-pop surgery. Walked for 5 minutes with some claudication pain. Then, last night I had significant resting claudication that prevented me from sleeping. I'm discouraged. I worry that my health span is over. -- Anyone been down a similar road of stents in femoral artery that have occulted who might offer some advice? Thanks and Be Well.
